Apparently Alberto Gilardino finally realized he’s been acting like a complete ass, and he’s started — possibly too late — the task of cleaning up his mess. Yesterday Gila appeared before the press to inform them that everything is fine between himself and Milan, and he’s not going anywhere. According to the striker, aided by the aged wisdom of Pippo Inzaghi (Heroic goal-scorer and a shrink, too — what could possibly be next?) he simply saw the light and decided the Rosoneri are the team for him. Not only that, but he somehow convinced Adriano Galiani to say nice things and then stand next to him for a photo in which they both plastered totally genuine grins on their faces. And I’m sure there’s no way they headed for different corners of the room as soon as the photo shoot was over, never to speak again. So everything is again groovy in Milan country, at least for public purposes. At the very least, everyone can see that no other team is desperate enough to pay £17 million for Gila’s services, so they’d better bury the hatchet sooner than later.
